Saturday night we said goodbye to Mel. We opened the salon together almost two years ago and I am sad to see her go. She is full of energy and always making people laugh. I wish you the best and you will be missed.

While we were all eating and having a good time this man approaches our table and asks what we are celebrating? He wants to make Mel a balloon so she agrees. He ends up blowing up about 15 balloons and arranges them into this hat which is absolutly huge. It's hard to tell in the pictures but Mel is pretty tall and became even taller with this creation on top of her head. It was so funny watching her try to walk around without bumping into anyone and losing her balance.
Below are pictures of Sunday night, we went bowling. I haven't bowled in years! I try to avoid this activity because I either fall while trying to throw the ball, or release it when my arm is behind me usually hurting someone sitting on the benches. I have even managed to throw the ball in someone else's lane. Luckily nothing like that happened this time, I even got a few stikes. It was probably just luck.

This pictures makes me laugh because she actually bowled better this way! I think she ended up with a spare.

The best part of the weekend was the weather. It was over 70 degrees both Sunday and Monday. I loved every minute of it and am so ready for summer. There is nothing better than a bright sunny warm day in Washington.

Just a few pictures of my favorite family! Life is busy for Tom and Lisa. Tax season is coming to an end but real estate is about to explode for summer. Tom works atleast six days a week and sometimes seven. Lisa is at home and as all mothers know that is a 24 hour, seven day a week job. They are building a new home and can't wait to get moved in. It has been so fun watching them adust to life with Berkeley. They have worked together as a team and I admire all that they have accomplished. I love you three and am so blessed to have you in my life.

Chris and I down at the waterfront
His younger brother Nick
Bill and Lyndee, Dad and Step-mom
Chris had a server training class at Elliotts on the waterfront, which is opportunity for the wait staff to taste and experience the wines he sells. Every few months restaraunts feature a certain wine and this month Barnard Griffin was chosen. We both absolutly love seafood so decided to make an evening out of it and met some of his family for dinner. His dad and step-mom are the most wonderful people. They live north of Seattle so we don't see them as often as we would like but always have a great time when we're together. Nick is the youngest brother of the three boys and we love spending time with him too. He is a busy 22 year old and has a lot of stories to entertain us!

Our plane tickets arrived in the mail yesterday and I now finally feel like our trip is actually happening. We will be vacationing in Cebu, which is an island in the Phillipines and Hong Kong. This is going to be an experience of a life time and we are so excited. We're traveling with our good friends Chris and Angelsea who have been there before. All of the pictures I've seen are amazing. Cebu is a hidden treasure with beautiful water and beaches. I've been to New York two different times and thought it was the greatest city and I hear Hong Kong is very similar except bigger. I also hear the shopping is fantastic! I am just really looking forward to experiencing a culture that facsinates me and seeing a part of the world I've never been to. The flight is about 14 hours so that will be the hard part but once we get there I'm sure it will be worth it.

What will you look like when you turn 65? That was the theme of the party I went to last night. All I can say is, it was ugly and I hope none of us actually look this way. I really don't even think 65 is old but it was fun to dress up and laugh at until we cried.
