Sunday night Chris hosted a wine tasting at Hotel Vintage in Seattle. I always love to attend these for two reasons. Chris has such a natural ability to talk with total strangers and make them feel like they have been friends forever. He has no fear or hesitation in a room full of people. That is something I have never been comfortable with. I would much rather sit off to the side and observe! The other reason I love going is because I am always surprised at the crowd. I have learned over and over that you can't judge a book by its cover. Every type of person you can imagine comes to these tastings and they all have atleast one thing in common, wine.

Hotel Vintage is a fabulous hotel. It has a rich, cozy lobby with a ton of old books and a huge fireplace that draws you in.Before the tasting we got to do some much needed shopping. Well not much needed, but what girl ever thinks she has enough clothes! Anytime I'm downtown and get to visit some of my favorite boutiques I think I loose all self control! We also visited the new library. It is ten stories and the architecture and design are truly amazing. After all of this we had a wonderful dinner at Union Square Grill and yummy dessert at Earth & Ocean which is located at the W hotel. It was nice to have a weekend just the two of us!
