Merry Christmas everyone!
Chris decided to buy season tickets to the Seahawks this year and he has loved every game. Rain, snow or wind Chris comes home with a smile on his face. They played on Christmas Eve and Tom decided to brave the cold and help Chris cheer them on. They lost, but they boys had a good time anyway. With Chris and Tom being gone that left me to do the cooking. I must say Lisa and I rose to the challenge and I think we proved ourselves in the kitchen!
I love this picture of Tom and Lisa.
Berkeley was the highlight this year. It's so much more fun with little kids. She wasn't feeling very well but we had a great time watching her open her gifts. She was very delicate with the paper and tore each piece carefully. She takes after Lisa, extremely neat and already a perfectionist!

Sterling helped every chance she could, I think she was hoping for more treats!

Well another wonderful Christmas has come and gone. This month has been a whirlwind with all of our crazy weather and holiday festivities. I love all the parties and get togethers but I also look forward to slowing down and just enjoy being home. We got all of our decorations up late this year and I have decided to keep them up a little longer than usual. I know our tree won't last forever but everything else is staying until mid January! We haven't been home hardly at all and I just want to enjoy them for a bit longer. They house always feels more cozy with white lights and garland.

A few years ago our family decided to draw names and set a budget for gifts. We are all at a point in life where we really don't need anything and can buy what we want throughout the year. This has been such a blessing. Berkeley doesn't count but she is so much fun to buy for! Every year I realize more and more what brings joy to my life, my family and friends. No gift could compare to the love and happiness they bring. I was overwhelmed this year when I sat back and looked at the blessings in my life. I have taken for granted that I am surrouned by family and friends at holiday time but there are many people out there that are alone or have lost touch with their family. Thank you God for reminding me of what matters most in life. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and wish you a wonderful New Years.
